The Bronze Horseman Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

The Bronze Horseman

The Bronze Horseman

There, facing the Neva
-a man sits on a horse
-is hero without doubt

And there is a serpent

And serpent is serpent
Talks serpent

'Interpret…'

Nationalists say:
- 'it is Enemy…Sweden! '
-diplomats keep silence
-are serpents,

Statue, Monument
-is dagger into heart of Michael
-Angelo, hard-worker
-he carried big blocks of marble
- (in sizes, on canoes, small boats)

The German Catherine, and Pushkin,
- (Grandson of slave…)
-paid for and wrote poem
-for a work by 'French! ' (as Peter)

Have photos, memories
-of 'Meek-Man'
- 'Idiot'
-their writer
-Feodor, gambler

Oh, my lord
-though silent
-monuments talk too much

Stories wave the mind
-when we sit unaware
-in the dark of the cave
-and amazed, I am lost
