The Brook Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Brook

Rating: 5.0

Let me flow
Like a small brook
Towards the lush green
Fields and farms
Where farmers work hard
Let me stay
There for a year long
To run into furrows
Farmers have tilled the
Soil to make and sow
Let me play
With the sweet sound of
Children's feet and bangles
Of farmers wives who
Come to uproot
The weeds and feed cattle
Rain has gone
I am swollen and full
Let me flow
Towards the river
Where I will lose
My name and sleep
In peace for ever
