The Butler Did It? Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

The Butler Did It?

The big house on the hill
Hooting owls, and whistling wind
An ancient family plot unveiled
Motivation of a fortunes promise
Bricks of mystery form the foundation lot
Tension grows, who done it?
Who knows? the secrets in the mounting fear
Servants screaming of ghoulish goings on
The gathering forms, murderess doors locked
Sleuth detective looking for clues
Unstitching the quilt of guilt
No one wants to be the victim in this story
The intrigue of who will be the one to fall and wilt
A story of intrigue, the twist in the tale
Our detective hero just cannot fail
Gripping onto the reality of this baffling theatre play
Murder committed and solved in one day
Actors portray all the key roles, each on so intricate and necessary
Painting a picture for imaginations head
Connecting the dots and puzzle pieces
Each one a suspect, emotional creases
Will we be in shock for the great reveal
Or will it be stereotypically real
