The Children Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Children

Rating: 5.0

The children run So fast
In the street almost
Knock a few old people down
Every place you look
Is full of them
The children
It's so many of them around
These days
More of them
Than the old people
Enough of them to push
The old people out of their way
If they desired to!
But the children ain't being bad
They are just being young!
And that takes
A whole! Lot of energy
The children don't like to
Walk with the old people
Because the old people
Don't walk fast enough
To keep up!
