Both amphibians and fungi
Haved lived on Earth millions of years.
Frogs, toads and salamanders die
From chytrid fungi, it appears.
But humans only noticed these
Deaths just a few decades ago.
What's causing this spreading disease?
Humans may be too slow to know,
Spending most time on pointing blame.
World wide epidemic in scope,
Chytrid fungi have upped their game.
Amphibians have little hope.

Humans need be more than perplexed.
Odds are that humans will be next.
