The Cracks Remain Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

The Cracks Remain

When friendship's bond is broken, it is so hard to mend
For careless words once said may create hurts that send
Years of fine togetherness and harmony down the drain
Like a vase that had fallen, though repaired, the cracks remain.
Before we judge another, it 's best to know all the facts,
Many fail to search the truth before they even decide to act.
Gossip is never a basis for a fair and true conclusion
Most often they are figments of unjustified presumption
