The Dark Cherry Night

Rating: 5.0

I want to be still in the dark cherry night
in the orchards that by daylight shine pink,
pink and white, lemon rose or cream
in impressionist paintings, tempered by sudden moonlight
i want to taste the cherry dark night
as if it were a childhood flavour
as if God were wandering there'
in original cherry bliss
how lovely it all is if only it would linger
tag end of a dream in late December
another transfiguration we don't want to leave
there where there is no cause to fear the Shadow
where like an orchestra unseen
everything, cherryripe, Sings.
