The Dark Side Poem by Hannah Davies

The Dark Side

Walking through the dark
Too blind to see
A huge weight on my shoulders
It almost crippled me.

Stood looking at the deep hole below
The burning fires of hell
Trying desperately to hold on
Nobody to catch me as I fell.

A never-ending drop
A life up in smoke
Heart and mind are now racing
Feelings and emotions cause me to choke.

Arrived at Devil's door
Unable to run away
All hopes have dissolved
This is now judgement day.

The end of a journet
Surely, this can't be right?
Can I have another chance?
Please show me to the light.

Someone took pity
And lifted me out
I can see again
Living is what life's all about.
