The inner and outer realms of life
Remain separated by a veil of unawareness
It's not the thickness of the veil
That hides the truth
It's the logic that clouds the mind
It's not true
That the mind is on a path of inquiry
The mind is a sail inside the ship of consciousness
It's the winds of consciousness (logic)
That clouds the mind
Pushing the ship of consciousness
Away from its resting place
Into the path of uncertainty
The mind, body and soul must be still
For the ship of consciousness
To find the path of Light
It's the death of logic (stillness)
That unveils the beacon of hope
And paddles the heart
To the shores of existence
It's now or never
That humanity must understand the limits of logic
And lean not to our understanding
But let the Spirit of God
Be our guiding Light

I am humbled by the kind comments on this poem. Thank you all for your great insights. Yes, logic and faith are some of the most controversial topics. I still believe logic is overrated. Thank you very much once again.
This is one of your finest poems I have read so far, Straight to my favourite list. 100++++++
I love your wonderfully expansive metaphor of the inner journey beyond narrow, self-serving patterns of thought.
Poetry begins where logic ends, they say, and here is a poet talking about Death of Logic in a lovely poem. Well done dear poet.
Beautiful philosophical piece. But in the beginning there must be faith. An unquestionning belief in the institution of God. With 408 ways to believe in god i stay with empirical religion aka science, for, even that was created by God. The difference is that science being the sum total of the things which give us life is so fundamental to well being whereas religion of faith is in the mind. I rest my case. Excellent piece. You write well Rre Maswabi.
