The Defeat Of Indecency Poem by Raj Dronamraju

The Defeat Of Indecency

Mercifully, interruption euthanized the shallow host
Couples went out into the night coughing and staggering as if escaping a burning building
No one stayed behind to make arrangement or fake amenities with the shallow host
He was frozen in a goodbye wave and his smile was one of shock and accident

They will have to decide for themselves if this night was ruined
People will come up to them as they move unsteadily down the street
"Come and join our campaign"
"Let's clean up ourselves and everyone else"

I am bored
With my variable amounts of personal freedom
Wish there was a tonic to wake up the drugged out ungrateful decades
The drug is personal freedom
You'll wake up the night after the party to find what was never acknowledged has been taken away from you
