The Desert Poem by Kasia Fedyk

The Desert

Rating: 0.5

Silence drifts from my belongings,
like a wave it's consumed in one breath,
the voices, coming from the sands in the dessert,
heat pulsing through every grain, inhaling and submerging, you can feel its weakness and power, calmness and rage,
every grain marked with gold;

Cactus filled with all the nectar stands alone like a painting, looking,
observing the sparkles shimmering in immense heat,
In the Desert.
