The Elephant In The Room
The US was possessed
by a ghost for four years,
the ghost of
a climate change denier,
whose administration
stops funding
the UN Relief and Works Agency
for Palestine Refugees,
and author many other fallacies,
but the elephant in the room
is his white supremacism
that challenges
the soul of the nation.
All readers are invited to read my poem "Far Right Is Not Right"…. Just because the "Far Right" manages to rally more like-I'll-minded people around, it does not become right.
Climate change is human-induced and the United States is the biggest contributor to the malady, whether trump accepts it or not. It is also a fact that the progress that the US has achieved through the centuries is at the expense of other countries
Avoidance of capital is deliberate. Does he deserve a name?
The list of his wrongheaded doings goes on and on. Worst of all, he has catalyzed the coalescence of a huge mass of supporters who share his divisive ways and his contempt for the media.
Poet Evelyn Judy Buehler writes on 10 November 2024 "Donald Trump's reelection makes me glad that no person can serve more than two terms. I just hope that he doesn't do too much damage during his final term. Your nicely written poem speaks for many" and she is absolutely right.
