It's over... again
This time you say it's finally the end
But I give it three days tops-
I'll see your name on my screen
We've been going back and forth since we were both just teens
But we're both adults now
And we've both grown old
You've grown distant
And I've grown cold
Life's given ups and downs and one of us is always bound to drown
It's three am and there you are
Comparing my beauty among the stars
Saying you loved me-
And promise to love all my scars
As if your words weren't charred-- into my skin
It's the end
Again and again
I keep taking you back
And drinking the poison
At one point you'd think it'd finally sink in
You're back in my texts
Night after night
The end is never anywhere in sight
And you always say ''the end is the end'
But the end somehow leads to another beginning-
But this time it's done
You're gone and you're blocked
We've said this for years
That we wished we could stop
Now we have... and it's all my fault,
But I do wish you well.
