The End Of The Beginning

*The end of the beginning*

*_By Lamina Ifeoluwa_*

Darkness echoes beneath us
As hopes of despair rots without choice
Ashes to ashes, eruption of molten desires
Once, twice, ..more like a winter of ice

Burn 'em up whispers the inferno
Lapping breaths of anguish, hope you follow?
A slight infringement flawed our entire sagacity
Drowning each ounce of alacrity

Exchange of vows in blood followed suit
In anticipation for a time to loot
Then, hunger surged up thirst
Fueled by an usurp of passion for unrest

Slowly, stealthily my eyes gazed at a sway
Strumming the rhythm of my pain away

The beginning of an end, upon the wings of ecstasy
I did ascend into the realms of heaven
Calmness in breath coupled with supremacy
Like an hush of eventide, raced tranquility into my soul

......That place of our dreams
Awoken in sweat of dire need!
