The End Of The Road Poem by Tabitha abner

The End Of The Road

Rating: 3.5

The moon is distant from the sea.
As is the love you have for me.
We keep moving back and fourth.
Like shifting through the sand.
The moment you grab my hand.
You let go and say this is
The end of the road.

You loved me from the start.
Opened the door and stole my heart.
I gave my whole self to you.
And now you tell me you've been untrue.
You left me broken hearted.
At the end of the road.

Week after week nothing stayed the same.
When we made love you said her name.
Now you don't look in my eyes.
I fall asleep as I cry.
I know you see it too.
The end of the road.
For me and you.
