The Eternal One Poem by Dave Dafes

The Eternal One

In the stillness of the cosmos vast,
Where stars are born and shadows cast,
A force beyond both time and space,
Did weave the world with boundless grace.

From ancient void, where silence reigned,
The Eternal One, with power unchained,
Spoke the word, a breath of light,
And dawn emerged from endless night.

Mountains rose and rivers flowed,
Life was sparked, creation glowed.
The oceans deep, the skies so wide,
All formed by the Eternal's tide.

Through ages past and epochs long,
The Eternal's voice, a timeless song,
Guided all, both great and small,
Through rise and fall, through summer and fall.

Yet mortal minds could not perceive,
The full expanse of what they believe,
For the Eternal's hand is subtle, still,
Moving hearts, bending will.

Kings have risen, empires fell,
Yet in each, the Eternal's spell,
Wove a tale of might and peace,
Of love unbroken, of war's release.

Through every tear, in every cry,
The Eternal's watchful, caring eye,
Held the world in tender grace,
Healing wounds in every place.

The Eternal One, beyond all names,
Unseen in forms, untouched by flames,
Yet in the heart of every soul,
Lies the spark that makes us whole.

For in the end, when stars grow dim,
And time itself begins to thin,
The Eternal One will stand, unmoved,
In love's pure light, forever proved.

And so we live, and so we die,
Beneath the vast and endless sky,
Yet through it all, the Eternal's light,
Guides us onward, through darkest night.

The Eternal One, both near and far,
The brightest sun, the faintest star,
In every breath, in every sigh,
The Eternal One will never die.

For though the world may turn to dust,
And all we cherish fade to rust,
The Eternal One, in truth, remains,
In every joy, in every pain.

And when the final bell is rung,
And last of songs is softly sung,
The Eternal One will hold us near,
Dispelling every doubt and fear.

For in the end, we all return,
To the Eternal's warm embrace and burn,
With love so pure, so fierce, so bright,
We'll rest within the Eternal's light.
