The Fall Poem by Carlos Perez

The Fall

Rating: 5.0

Since you no longer treated me like before, I was wondering what have you done.
I have discovered it: you have sacrificed your love for me to claim back your soul, but now you are truly gone.

I still remember the moments when you and I were romantic.
When I lost your true self, I had no choice but to be frantic.

I can still see you beside me, but though, you are so far away.
You always said that you loved me. Now, 'you will find someone else' is what you say.

A true remorse is everything you lack.
Well, it's a shame, because the girl you were before will never come back.

I cannot be fixed, no matter with how many cures.
But I feel glad, because my heart at least died in her hands, not in yours.

For the girl who you once were, I would give her all.
But sadly, she is now lost in nowhere but a hopeless and never-ending fall.
