The Fight Inside Of Me

Every now and then, I get a crude
awakening, that you're really gone!
I push this thought away, as much
as I could, but no matter what, it still,
ingers on! There's such a turmoil
inside of me, trying to reason with all
that I feel. I still have to face the facts,
that this is, for real! The hurt still wells
up inside of me and I try my best, it
shouldn't show. But no matter what I
do, it follows me, wherever, I go! How
can it ever be any different, as you
meant the world to me? You were my
father, an unselfish man and whom ever
knew you, they surely would agree! How
can I help, but miss you, as I do? And
what's even worse, how can I get over,
the loss of you? I have to reason with
myself, everyday to take it slow. There's
a fight that goes on, inside of me
constantly, but no one, will ever know!
