The Final Word Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

The Final Word

Rating: 4.5

My weary footsteps trample
Through the thoughts within my brain,
As daily, I do search for poems,
And verses to yet attain.

I ponder for ideas and thoughts,
I search for rhymes and scans,
I seek out verses here and there,
To delight the minds of man.

I tackle lines that do not rhyme
With more vicissitude,
And will not leave them for a day,
Until I complete them with attitude.

My poems, my thoughts, my ramblings,
On paper I do jot,
Till my mind again rests in peace,
And lulls in Poet’s Block.

I strive to find the final word,
But my thoughts will not clarify,
However long and hard I think,
And in dictionaries verify.
