The Fires Begins To Burn Again Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Fires Begins To Burn Again

Mister Jacob Blake
Got shot in the back
By that policeman in Wisconsin
And the fires begin
To burn again
And the fires begin
To burn again

Riots in the city
Violence that is
Prompted by
Injustice
Mans inhumanity to man
Another human being
Dying by
Another human beings hand
And the fires begin
To burn again
And the fires begin
To burn again

Too much bloodshed
Too many people shot dead

And the fires begin

To burn again

To burn again
