The Flies Are Angry! Poem by Dee Daffodil

That's what she said...
'The flies are angry'
I figured she ought to know
Given the fact
That she had likely
Been through this routine
Several times over

I'm not certain that
I would want her job...
The taking of fingerprints
From the dead...
The photographing
Of crime scenes...
The processing
Of every unforgettable detail...

No...my job tends to lie
More so with the living
(although not always)
I help people...
Sometimes...and of course...
Sometimes...
I can't

I deal with those left behind
As well as those who have
Gone beyond...
Our realm

So...
Cutting down a young man
Who had just had too much of life...
That was nothing new for me...
But I had never had to deal
With angry flies before!
