The Forward Path Poem by Evelyn Norcott

The Forward Path

Rating: 5.0

there's light over my shoulder
looking forward is a dark path
it's easier, believe me,
to remain in the past.
Where memories are the
Warm, Worn leather
Of a comfortable chair
The feelings that swell
like an orchestra in my chest,
the laughter that remained
in the space between us -
all take shelter there
To return there is ideal, and yet
I find myself taking another step
But how am I to grow
If I am not to progress?

Carrying light in shoulder and proceeding ahead is wise. Because, this light helps a lot to pass through dark path. Love is nice. To return we can find path by light. A brilliant poem is amazingly written...10
