The Freedom Of Forgiveness Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

The Freedom Of Forgiveness

Your burdens can be lifted.
New light could flood your soul.
For there’s freedom in forgiveness.
It can make what’s broken whole.

It gives new hope to all the living
Bringing joy that floods our hearts,
As well as what’s been ended
Taking on a new fresh start!

After losing what you dearly love,
Then finding it back in your arms,
Makes you want to live a long full life
And be happy right where you are.

Nothing else is as unhealthy,
To a body than to hold a grudge.
It’s worse than clogged up arteries
Or an engine full of brown sludge!

Learn a lesson from the prodigal who
In most cases would have been shunned.
But all arms were held wide open
When this father forgave his son.

If you want a happy long life,
Then you have to learn how to live.
To find the purest form of freedom,
Then you must learn how to forgive!
