A. Occasionally in the spectral light.
Q. Can I glimpse the future?
A. I perceive several tired & broken syllables smeared with ink.
Q. Can I touch the future?
A. Only the false prophet's hardened skin.
Q. Can I taste the future?
A. Only the bitterness of shadow fruit on one's tongue,
Q. Can I smell the future?
A. Only the stale scent of blood on warring winds.
Q. Do I hear the future?
A. I hear the crash of roaring worlds at the sun's end.
