The Gentle Giant Poem by Mervyn Graham

The Gentle Giant

THE GENTLE GIANT

To a man we knew so well
When his time before him fell
But when the lord before him stood,
The gentle did leave us then
The gentle giant so big and strong
He suffered pain but did no wrong
His family's thoughts of him are great
The gentle giants loss brings heartbreak
Behind him left a wife so fine
But thoughts of Bett will serve divine
For in gods house for ever more
Their love will stand the strain and more
For love like this is hard to find
The gentle giant and Bett combined

By my brother Forrest Graham after the loss of our dad Matt Graham who died way too early. Dad was 6ft 7in and built like an all-in wrestler.
