The Ghost - Poem by Lesa MRK
The things you hide
Behind the beautiful mask of your lies
Keep me trapped here; forgotten
Behind a thousand locked doors of our yesterday
And only you, my dearest heart
Hold the key.
The promise I made to you;
But sorrowfully, I did it for you.
Trying to sheild the tears
Trying to numb the feelings
Behind the locked door
Of my severed memories.
So far apart we are
And I've become a ghost to you,
Haunting you day and night....
Begging for release.
For you left yourself behind
That long ago sorrowed day,
When you walked away
Leaving me in shadows.
