The Gift Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Gift

It was child age
And I put everything on page
“I love you forever”
And leave you never

The good old days have passed
Life is not eased
It remains still a memory
I feel so sorry

You went away
With no words any way
I waited for words to come
You were always welcome

I still cherish
As life was not finished
I eagerly waited for your arrival
Each day was passing as usual

I shall welcome
When you come home
I shall present
The gift I have kept

The Gift
