The Golden Goose Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Golden Goose

As it appears!
Appealing so beautiful
To the naked eye
Too beautiful to live
Too beautiful to die

An emerging flock gathers
Feathers spread
An out stretched hand
Close enough to touch
But afraid to fearing that they might
Become a slave to

The liars illusion
A symbol beckoning the feeble mind
Come into the darkness
Snared by their blindness
No truth do they find
