The Great Lake.
Taupo, tourist town,
is on the north of the lake:
Turangi is south.
I looked over the smooth waters,
driving, this blue morning.

Most of New Zealand's other large lakes are in the South Island.
I noticed that in the souvenir shops, Lake Taupo was advertised as 'The Great Lake'.
Moving in tourist tow beside lake gives view of landscape beauty and this entirely motivates mind. Blue morning shines with tender waves. This tanka is really very brilliant and motivational...10
There was a slight ripple over the blue water yesterday morning. I tried to play on the word 'blue', which can also mean 'downhearted'. A brilliant analysis on your part.
