Lo! look at the azure sky
Seems clear and cloudless
In that deep and dark night
Countless stars are glittering
Some are falling down hither
Some are shining on thither
Their glowing light strikes
The eyes of lookers on here.

Like those twinkling stars in the space
Some great persons had and have been
Living on the earth below around us
They and their grand personalities
Are models to mankind to imitate them
Their modes and manners are diversified
According to caste, creed, religion and region
Yet are they all human beings in India.

Not only are they living and lived
For the self but also for the others
In different occupations
Helping each other and living together.

Shining day and darkling night
Good and bad, virtue and evil
Pleasure and pain, joy and sorrow
These are natural in the Nature
As well as in the living creatures
So are here around us men and women.
Some are good and gentle, kind and virtuous
Uncorruptive and generous
Many more are, bad and vicious
Cruel and greedy, corruptive and selfish
Mingled personalities are found in humanity.

Among those political and social
Great men and women who met
Like Travellers in the Life's Journey
Are hereby introduced to the readers
As those great men are in perplexed era.
