The Great Sand Castle Race - Poem by Avi Pranish

Sun in our eyes, breeze in our hair
Buckets and shovels and sandcastles
Soaked pants and hanging loose
Incoming tides and Ice creams
Our greatest friend and foe

We still build today
You build a house, I build a palace
You wear coveralls, I wear a tie
I come home tired but satisfied
I go to bed dreaming of ideals
You talk to me about plans and ifs

I cant play anymore
I hope you understand my friend
This aint a game anymore, its my life
