The Hoax Poem by April Monroe

The Hoax

Rating: 5.0

Today, you said I was the one
You felt my love and held me close
Told me I was who you needed most

Yesterday, we had another fight
You left our home without a word
Spoke volumes even though nothing was heard

Last year, we had another baby
You love him just as much as she and the other
Reiterated none could be like their mother

Monday, it came and went again
You noticed not my lonely whoa
Said nothing in return as I turned to go

Tomorrow, the sun shall rise as before
You will look at me with those eyes
Whisper ever longer the same lies

Now, my senses become open
You can't sustain the hoax
Declare I'm not what you needed most

Infidelity the most occurred topics, in most marriages, never loyal, always lies and betrayals. These men are not sick, they have seen examples like this in their own life as teens and brought this bad habit with them invisibly. So about 50% of the men on earth. But there are enough men who never step into infidelity. Brilliant poem, Michelle. A suitable name The Hoax. Keep the ink flowing, create/write more poems about what you wish.Thank you.
