The Hole I Could Not Fill

The hole I could not fill,
Has by me not been forgotten.
Until the day you came,
And in coming, came again.
As soft rain,
And in the evening storm.
There where we stood,
I touched a spot,
She turned to me and said.
I have a hole,
A hole you never filled.
And the loud thunder,
That I heard.
Could fill the moon,
But not today.
