About the barren and bleak

I feel sad and pity those people you wrote about. They could live free but with not much wealth to buy food or cloths. The way you wrote this could change some peoples' perspective on the homeless. I respect you and I love this poem! Nicely written, visualized and a smooth flow lingering around. Keep it up!
i know many a homeless person that chooses to live as an outcast of society because living as a 'member of society' is more degrading to them and they feel more free if they are not held down by a permanent home or steady income, strange thought and a notion foreign to me but there is something that i deeply respect about that choice
Very nicely written KRISTA
Dan, this a well written plea for understanding of those less fortuante than yourself. I know now life is really all about choices, the ones we make, if we choose wrong, sometimes it is difficult to find our way back and some never do. I thank you for this poem. Bob 10++++
a piece of work dedicated to the people in slums.....great work Dan......sebastine
I must say I just Love the way you describe you can Draw a whole painting with all the details in an Amazing way Well Done
i should say....you are a great writer sir! ! ! ....such descent way of writing! ! ! Nia
Very well written, it reminds me of Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. CP
This poem has nice flow to it and sends a great message. I've always felt that if a person cannot have compassion for fellow humans (or at least respect) that person will end up miserable. It is encouraging to see that some young people still think about such things.
A very good write, Dan, and a show of compassion. Also, thanks for your comment on my poems. Ron
that one i can relate to i hate people who sit there and tease a homeless person because my two brothers and my sis were like that my sis is still kinda like that and it just makes me hurt so bad for them i wish i could help them but i just cant
this poem has a good meaning and very good intentions... good job. i try to do the right thing by helping them out, until one of them attacked my mother so i stay my distance! ! ! unless there's a chil involved, i've got in trouble plenty of times for bringing a mother an her child home! ! ! anyways keep it up! ! xoxo~paris~xoxo
To me, this is your best, Dan.We patronise and bung them a self-righteous quid then wrap our trappings around us
Very painshaking and very sad! it makes you want to cry! wonderfully written!
Dan - Sometimes I think it's the fear that we may see our own faces in theirs, that makes us look away. Life is so tenuous for so many. If only we recognized, they are all somebodie's sister, father or child. Every little act of compassion can go so far, Thank you for making us look. Blessings - Cheryl
this is so good, I love it
