There was a river running
down the cheeks of my face
in a stream of sorrow and pain

It was a flow I couldn't stop
for the hurt I felt inside
felt so strong
that it wouldn't let me forget

Forget what it did to me
when you left me
on that could and lonely
November night

But now
time has past
and yes do I still remember
but can also forget
for now my heart
is no longer aching, breaking
or even upset
and feels no remorse or regret

For today
life found his own way
to deal with and forget
that hurt felt inside
