The Ideal Wife Poem by Paul Sebastian

The Ideal Wife

Rating: 5.0

Before dawn breaks, she wakes
To offer prayers and worship
Making supplication for needy sake
Drawing strength from Godly-relationship

She devotes her being to make home
She nurtures unconditional love
Her love's constant, wherever they roam
Forgiving, encouraging, affirming love

She absorbs her husband's strains and pains
Restoring him strength, sends him to gather
Wisdom keeps joy-balance through losses and gains
Allowing mistakes to teach become overcomers

Often reaches out to meet needs of others
Offering readily voluntary services
To a community of God-worshippers
Offering her acts as thanksgiving sacrifices

Such a lady is worthy to be praised
Properly clothed she carries herself in dignity
Carries her spouse's honor to the market place
Her positive disposition wears laughter easily

Her words are flavored with wisdom
Her children honor and speak of her proudly
Community women praise her wisdom
She has no ears for gossips; avoids the ungodly

Her inner temple light overshadows her beauty and charm
Such a woman is a priceless precious jewel
A man's household is blessed by heaven-sent angel's balm
Bringing a mantle of happiness to home dwell

A woman of virtue is man's highest glory. Powerful poem indeed.

No doubt such a woman/wife is a blessing to the household, a gem to her husband and a true gift to her children! She has the capacity to illumine everyone who comes into contact with her! Such a household steered by this woman will form a strong base of the society! A woman of integrity of character, devotion to her husband and unflinching loyalty to God is a marvel any man can aspire for! Great write!

This poem is a tribute to the unsung angel representative of God who is a part of every household whom we call a 'wife'. You have tried to enlist her virtues in the most charitable way possible. Felt fortunate to have read the poem. Thanks.
