The Imaginations Of Us Poem by Varanasi Ramabrahmam

The Imaginations Of Us

The imaginations of us

Dr. Varanasi Ramabrahmam

I am aware that my presence
On this planet is temporary

I must be ready for the
Final journey
Today or tomorrow

The other words like,
Heaven, hell, salvation
Are all imaginary
And they don't belong me

Affections, love, last
As long as I last;
Associatiins, bonds, tuned hearts,
Passions and dispasions;
Just are of that short duration

'Unions, separations,
Are all destined
And are results of
Preview actions'

Whether one believes
This or not, I and others
Don't differ much in living

Whether one understands
Philosophies, spirituality or not
The end is same for all

Action, devotion, realization,
Theistic or atheistic;
All get dissolved,
As all the 'forces' of the chess
Are put back in the box

This play is not
Out of my volition
I am given an opportunity
That's all

What happens next,
What remains and
What disappears

Are all fancy of mind;
The unconfirmed sayings
Of the elders and
The imaginations of us
