Laying on my couch,
Late in the night,
I am once again wondering,
Why the hell I can't sleep?
I think of my career,
Think of my friends,
Think of the beginning,
And the end!
The struggle continues for sometime,
Then I have a nice chat with my mind,
Do you know what it says me
It tells me,
'Hey, the weather out is good,
Let's go for a walk'.
But suddenly my Heart sees me active,
And sends me a message,
'Hi dear, go on and think more deep'!
Well, now I am in a fix,
Who should I listen to?
Maybe you can tell!
Now let me tell you
What happens next.
I get up from my couch,
Make some 'pasta',
Eat it And sleep!
So I guess,
When The Heart and brain fights,
Its always the stomach that wins!
Hi, Gurleen! I'm just getting to read your poems and read this one first. I l ike the directness of it, and the ending was a surprise and made me laugh. -Glen Kappy
