~the Ingenuity Of Humanity Is Astonishing To Me~

[I’m of consenting age to be forgetting my life
And forgetting how much you hurt me]

I’m the starry night that clouds your day
And yet I still have nothing to say
I’m filled with contempt and spite
And yet I really don’t want to fight
I want to believe; to trust
Even love, if I must
I want to be there for you
I want to be amazing and true
I want to make you see
That I really can be

[Everything you thought I was]

Beautiful willow why do you sway?
Do you realize the sun, the day?
Do you feel the sun upon your cheeks?
Raise your branches high and mighty
Fight the urge to cry
Learn to live instead of die
Learn to trust the wind
Trust the beautiful lies
Before it all dies
