The Inside Poem by Sue Justin

The Inside

Rating: 5.0

I split myself and found a sky within--
Deep and solitary; a canopy under my skin,
The fragments of moon pierced me sharp
And a feeble tale of life, i found to spin;
I split myself and found an ocean within--
Quiet and still, where i hid all love and sin,
No chaos, no nights of worry is yet oblivion
And no battle for me, to lose or win;
I split myself and found a chasm within--
Dark and low with their profoundest grin,
A hell in itself, that scarred my soul
And a perfect shadow (of fear) , not light can imagine;
I split myself and found a kingdom within--
Rich and fair, a realm of spring eighteen,
Lost and found in every mirth of life
And found a little love, among all bustle and din.
