The Landscape Of The First Snow Poem by Kinsley Lee

The Landscape Of The First Snow

White leaves scatter, crumbling and flying according as the park's breeze,
Gentle flakes're drifting down from the carpet of clouds, the first snow's wheeze.
The hues of the fall foliage were drawn to a single shade,
In dark, time's flying flight where the year begins to fade.

Yesterday, all hours of the day, falls the season's first snow,
On drooping branches, they sleet to gather and whitely grow.
Whene'er a gust of wind blows and scatters the petals in flight,
And they hide the fall foliage and hustle the winter's sprite.
