The Last Cherry Blossom Poem by Terence George Craddock

The Last Cherry Blossom

Rating: 4.0

when the last cherry blossom has fallen
when the last twig fades into dusk night fallen
when the last tree disappears into ink dark fallen

all beauty life vibrant is ephemeral shadows

at least we have seen
inspiring beauty breath time
written in nature seamless

it seems difficult
to understand
how humanity

can create
so much beauty
yet destroy

both seamless beauty
a nature spun tapestry
so thoughtless easily

all beauty life vibrant is ephemeral shadows

when the last white cream cherry blossom has fallen
when the last shadow twig fades into dusk night fallen
when the last silhouette tree disappears into ink dark fallen
