The Late Bloomer Baby Boomer - 7 Poem by Richard Wlodarski

The Late Bloomer Baby Boomer - 7

The Late Bloomer Baby Boomer - 7

Grading eleven aging sixteen
Wolfe and Lamb communing through One Mind
She has searched the depths of my inner mind
And with such kindness melted acute pain
Her motherly instincts nurturing
Hypothetical son has been reborn
Unconditional love flowing through us
Teacher and student acing the prime test
Education outperforming itself
Prodigal son returning home at last
And mentor to the playground in her mind

Days turn into weeks...
And weeks into months...
And months into years...
