The Leading of God

The leading of God in a life
Is an interesting journey
It starts out going one way
The next thing it is turning
Often there are detours
God has His plans in these
It sometimes holds us back from problems
God's mercy if you please

I often have reflections
As I'm sure you have yours too
How God has led in so many ways
It's just what God does do
And His wonderful hand of protection
In His daily grace
Even though I can't see tomorrow
He's my abiding place

Praise God I can come into His presence
And leave with Him my prayers
And venture forth by faith each day
Knowing He is there
And the adventure is a highlight
In life's journeying
For no matter what the testing
Praise God we know we win!

Wonderful to live in life
If you know where you are going
And if heaven is your destination
Your living will be showing
Love the Lord Thy God
With all your heart, strength and mind
And your neighbor as thyself
Having His end in mind!

So I trust your having a good time
With joy and peace as friends
And you've come to know the Saviour
Before life's journey ends
You're waiting on the Father
As you begin each day with prayer
And living with that view in mind
One day you'll meet Him there!
