The Legend Of Hawkman And Hawkgirl Poem by Denis Martindale

The story goes that these two lived and met and fell in love,
And thought it such a precious gift, it seemed more than enough.
But in the times of magic spells, both lovers had been cursed,
To live and love, then say farewells, before death was reversed.

Each time he struggled, seeking love, his partner not yet known,
To play the game of Blind Man's Bluff, a lover on his own.
But when they meet and learn the truth, love's joys unite once more,
Their memories provide the proof, past lives they can't ignore.

New lives to live, fates to enact, their destinies rehearsed,
The magic spells remained intact, two lovers blessed yet cursed!
Across the centuries that came, love stayed their hearts' reward,
To cherish every change of name with memories restored.

This time, they joined the Justice League, with heroes at each side,
And yet their story stays unique, true love that must abide!

The Legends of Tomorrow TV series also helped to explain their origin story. The Supergirl TV series introduces us to the catchphrase, 'Stronger Together! ' So, it is no wonder that with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and The Flash, the Justice League is quite a line-up to see! Heroines and heroines side-by-side? Not quite, you see, these are superheroes and superheroines! And each has a super story to tell!
