He was quiet and calm
Spoke nothing but listened unconcerned
While loquacious minors blabbed
The nothing they call knowledge
Though many voiced
The little nothing they know
The few with discerning minds
Took little notice of their blabbering
But anxiously glanced at the silent one
From where they know wisdom will flow
Yet he kept quiet and listened
The more they expected his comments
The quieter he kept and listened
Many became very uncomfortable
Even the blabbers noticed and kept quiet
Yet he would not utter a world
Instead listened to their quietness
At the end of the gathering
The blabbering minors left disappointed
But the discerning few left satisfied
Having learnt a great lesson
From the loudly silent voice.
