The Magic Of Maturity Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

The Magic Of Maturity

Rating: 5.0

Eventful scribbles on the calendar…
Number by number, square by square
Constant in time are hopeful dreams
Bound together with folded seams

Babies become adults before your eyes
Elderly parents weaken and say good-byes…
With the passing days much is gained
Perception is happily and painfully ingrained

Contained within the aging years is knowledge
Kindly giving the ability to discard or selvage
Bestowing an inner secret that is magical
It is a presence that is somewhat mystical

Sensing the future with a learned quality
Finding courage in the calm flow of poetry
Giving understanding when troubles are blinding
Knowing that the experiences in life are binding

It is an empowering feeling to reach an age when you no longer feel insecure about the person you are. This wonderful poem shows that you have reached that place. Thanks
