The Mask Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Mask

Rating: 5.0

Should I take out my mask
Should I walk with my face revealed
I dare not for you have not seen
Such a funny creature and become thrilled

You won't believe that you
See the same face you have so loved
A monster hiding in a mask
With whom for so long you have hobnobbed

Should I take out the mask
Should I reveal to the world my true face
It is true face of humanity
I am hiding that has gone completely into a mess

You are wearing a mask too
Nice one with a face sweet and smiling
Under it resides a man of sins
That to show the world you are not willing

Great satire on those mask wearers who hide their true face and do whatever they wish. This poem will go in my favourite poems....Thanks for sharing it 10+++

A brilliant poem on mask with brilliant imaginary. A real picture of the present society with mask and without mask has been astutely delineated. I love the following lines most.. Should I take out the mask Should I reveal to the world my true face It is true face of humanity I am hiding that has gone completely into a mess Should I take out the mask Should I reveal to the world my true face It is true face of humanity I am hiding that has gone completely into a mess Thanks.
