I have the need to write today
It may be in some Ho-Hum way
To organize the things I say
To my parents a thank you
For giving me life
To those gone, I give thanks
For creating my wife
To my wife I say thanks
For the products of love
The sons and a daughter
Sent here from above
To my offspring a thank you
For challenging me
And showing me life’s seldom
As we think it should be
For the flowers and mountains
And water and frogs
My home and my garden
My grass and my dogs
It seems, the need to write today
Was more a need, to thank and pray?
To those above who made it so
For this grand world to which I go

I would like to translate this poem
It's good to say thank you sometimes, while we still have the breath in us to say it. I think if you could ask them, the dead would regret more what they never said than whatever they did say.
