The Nightmare Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

The Nightmare

She had a nightmare
Every time she slept.
In her darkest dreams
He slowly lurked and crept.

He fed on her fears
and fed on her soul.
Now every time she sleeps
He has total control.

She know his secret now
this is just a dream.
He cannot be real
so why can she not scream?

One two he is coming for you
Don't close your eyes tonight.
Three Four lock the door
Now he's filling your mind with fright.

You should have buried me
but I'll never be dead.
You cannot kill
What lives inside your head.
Close your eyes
And finish counting to ten.
The devils out tonight
Let the nightmares begin.
